The event will feature a dynamic presentation by guest speaker, John Morel, Associate Director of Career Services for the Evening Weekend, Berkeley Executive MBA and MBA Alumni programs. John will share valuable information and a fresh perspective on “Developing Personal Branding Strategies to Stay Competitive in Today’s Job Market.” Through group discussion and exercises, as well as individual career advising sessions, you will explore how to:
- Refine and effectively communicate what John calls your “Brand Promise”—a statement that conveys your unique background and expertise with how you can impact your organization.
- Use a SWOT analysis for updating your professional brand
- Leverage your unique competitive advantage
- Identify the optimal career path going forward
You will also have the opportunity to learn more about how you can access online career resources and job opportunities or in-person assistance through Haas Alumni Career Services.
In addition, John will be available for individual 1×1 career advising sessions from 10am to 2pm ET on June 6th; first come, first serve based on availability. John Morel, Haas School of Business
John is Associate Director of Career Services for the Evening Weekend, Berkeley Executive MBA and MBA Alumni programs. Prior to establishing the Haas MBA alumni career services program, John served as both a career consultant at Lee Hecht Harrison and as an executive recruiter specializing in the fields of Bioscience, Telecommunications, Public Utility, Finance and Healthcare. In addition, he has held a variety of positions at the Director and Management level in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors.
